For this BFAW workshop, Frozenbanana art director Friederike Fankhänel invites visual artist and veggie-lover Pao Kitsch from Mexico City to create a natural color palette out of the fridge – together with YOU, kids! Beetroot, lemon, cacao, carrots and berries are just some of the ingrediences for our colorful summer snacks, drinks and paintings. Friederike Fankhänel (*1979, Berlin) works interdisciplinarily in the field of contemporary art and design, with a special interest in participation, interaction, learning and play. In her practice she connects graphic-/design, participatory art, community projects, self-/publishing, diy-/fan-/zine-culture with self-/ and institutional education.Graduated in visual communication at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg, she is working as a designer and curator of education at the Museum of Art and Design Hamburg.
